Emails will be sent by the court

Announced by Kian

The court has confirmed that it will take responsibility for sending out emails to the participants, and we currently see no reason the lawsuit wouldn't qualify as a class action.

Hello,

I am glad to announce that we’ve reached yet another large milestone.

Based on the following mail from today, the court will directly manage email communications as previously anticipated.

Hello Björn, the court will take care of sending notices to the group participants (which will be sent with an english translation).

Furthermore, the court finds no further procedural reasons that would prevent the suit from fulfilling the criteria to proceed as a class action type lawsuit as of this time. While a formal notice of this has not been received yet, based off of the communications, our lawyers believe that all criteria have been met and the suit will proceed as a class action lawsuit as planned.

As such, if you are part of the group of participants, expect to receive an email from the court whose purpose it is to confirm that you are real and that you wish to participate. Further information should be contained within the email they will send. They haven’t exactly given a date as to when this would happen though, just keep watch of the email you used to submit the participation form.

The current timeline looks like this:

  • The court sends a notice to the declared group participants <- We are here
  • The court waits a period of time after having sent the emails to verify the opt-in participation
  • Mojang is given a chance to respond, which will most likely be a motion to dismiss
